  • Microcontrollers: Open or Close

    The microcontroller is the heart and brain of every control application. Melitech Design ltd has years of experience with 8 & 16 bit microcontroller. We currently have a very good knowledge and experience with Microchip PIC 16, PIC 18 & PIC 24 families. We joined the Microchip Design Partner program in 2010 and thus have all the support and development tools needed for a fast and cost effective development. We also have a vast library of firmware routines that we use as building blocks when developing a new firmware, thus resulting in a much quicker development.

  • Communication and Busses: Open or Close

    In most embedded system projects communication is the key feature. The microcontroller needs to receive commands to perform certain functions and then return back data. There are also a number of communication busses and protocols that we can manage like RS 232, RS 485, I2C, SPI, USB, ModBus, LAN, TCP/IP … and more. This list is constantly growing.

  • Peripherals: Open or Close

    In most microcontroller designs there needs to be a number of peripheral circuitry around it for it to be able to interface with the end user and the real world. e.g. LCD, 4-20mA output, A/D & D/A conversion, temperature measurement, zero-cross detection, motor drivers... These peripheral designs ask for a good knowledge in both analogue and digital electronics which is not necessarily present in a microcontroller specialised engineer. However at Melitech Design Ltd we have peripheral design experts who keep up to date with technological advances in this sector.

  • Power Supply design: Open or Close

    For every stable electronic circuit, there needs to be a good power supply unit (PSU). While in some applications the PSU can be an external, off the shelf, standalone unit, other applications require the PSU to be on board and thus part of the design. Our design team has a solid knowledge and experience in power supply design both in linear and switching, non isolated or Isolated, Buck, Boost and flyback, AC to DC & DC to DC converters.

  • Schematic capture and PCB layout design Open or Close

    Designing a PCB is not just placing a few components and connecting copper tracks. The designer has to keep in mind the size, temperature, performance, EMC immunity, costs, productivity, manufacturability and reliability of the PCB amongst other things. Thus this stage of the project is given great importance as we know that it can signify the difference between a success and a failure of a product.

    With the aid of a Powerful CAD software like “Altium Designer ™” we are able to capture schematics, create packages, set physical design rules, design multilayer PCB, creating all BOM, Gerber, pick and place files and all other documents needed for the manufacturing and populating of your PCB.

    Outsourcing your PCB design will give your design department more time to concentrate on other matters and you will benefit from great savings by not having to invest in expensive CAD software and in personnel training. Our know-how and experience is the guarantee to your success.
